All men in Thailand are required to live the life of a Buddhist monk for a few years of their early life. Consequently, there are numerous temples together with their accompanying monasteries throughout the country. This photo of Wat Phra Sing, one of the largest in Chang Mai, shows only part of the whole temple which is continually visited by devout followers throughout the day. Thai people exhibit a high level of devotion to the Buddha.
The teachings of the Buddha as we were taught are simple yet profound. It is useful to recall them to mind without getting deeply into the cults of dogmatic practice. That's my belief for what it's worth.
I could not agree with you more. It is not my intention to share photos in order to get "deeply into the cults of dogmatic practice". Nevertheless, as I expressed earlier, all comment, in any form, is welcome.
Tell us more about the Wat and what happened there.
