Systemic racism was a focus of Justin Trudeau’s comment today in a discussion that drew comment from the RCMP commissioner.
The PM said that the issue was so difficult to address because it requires us to “look at the very building blocks of our institutions and of our country” — which favour privileged people over all others. No promises were made … they had been made before.
Another promise made two-years ago by the RCMP relating to the MMIWG inquiry was mentioned, to examine the systemic causes of continuing violence against indigenous women and girls, and prevent and eliminate further violence. “Is that the best !” was the answer.
An amazing recommendation was made to appoint more Black Canadians to commissions, boards, Crown corporations, etc., and one wonders how many Black Canadians are currently holding such hush-hush positions ?

ReplyDeleteI could comment on 'systemic racism'. It's the new sin, they missed it in the Bible or the Holy Roman Church but now it's the buzz word to shame whitey. Remember when it Nazism, Communism or whatever 'ism' they could brow bear common folks like with. Let's do away with the police altogether and let good people sort things out themselves.

DeleteHe is known for extraordinary statements about the Dems, the Communists, the Wall, and immigrants, etc., but is held back for good reason -- he needs to win the next election in both houses. If he fails they'll have him in jail in no time.
BUT IF HE WINS, we'll see such a US president that we could never dream of ... a Trump, a global leader, redeveloping his economic magic, and an amazing victimization of the "Swamp" that will really MAGA.
Yes, his advisors are telling to hang low and hang tight and he's clever enough to let them think that (You can see it in his facial expressions).
