Considering the psychological affect of this cliché on today’s children should be uppermost on the minds of those parents and teachers responsible for the development of innocent children, that have ‘social distancing’ imposed upon them.
Studying this provocative picture brought tears to my eyes.
It should be enlarged and put on the wall of every classroom and, then, discussed ... between teachers and parents, and including children.
If only Google could work when I need them !
ReplyDeleteThe little girl appears to be a 'privileged' white child. Imagine the screams of the mob if she was black, Asian, Indigenous or Muslim. The term racist would be a banner headline. For the present moment 'privileged' whites must self censor or provoke the apologists to rise up in pretended riotous indignation.
ReplyDeleteI take your point John, but this Post is focussed on social (physical) distancing. Perhaps, you are implying that one distances from Black people ? Now, I'm sure that a case could be made about that.
ReplyDeleteNo Bernie, you miss my point. The symbolism you see is valid but we've gone beyond self distancing and the world is now in the hands of BLM masterminds casting any and all white people into hellfire and damnation for having or having had a thought or said a word they disagree with.

We occasionally stray from the Subject and that's quite understandable, and apologies are not expected for speech freedom. I wonder if you missed today's other Post, 'News Worth Repeating' ?
